Some insects of the Loder valley yesterday: Mayflies, teneral damselflies, Scorpion fly, moths and butterflies, bees and hoverflies.

The place was buzzing.

 Grey wagtail on the bridge
Newly-emerged, teneral damselfly -- difficult to tell which one.
 Azure damselfly
Above might be an Azure Damselfly, Coenagrion puella, newly emerged and yet to develop green eyes and darker thorax.

Micro-moth on my trousers, Crambus lathoniellus.
My thanks to Bob Foreman of Sussex Wildlife Trust for advising on the moth and Alder fly species.
 Southern Marsh orchids.

Teneral damselfly with green colours as it matures to final blues - probably.

 Mayflies.

Scorpion fly -- a harmless scavenger.
