Reed and Ortolan Buntings on Amberley Wild Brooks

Just what is this little bird on top of the fence post?
It might just be an Ortolan Bunting -- a long-distance migrant, which spends the winter in Africa, south of the Sahara Desert.

This little flock looks like Reed Buntings.
They declined in recent years by 50%, so it is lovely to see them in an ideal habitat for them.
