Burnt Orchids, Fragrant Orchids, Adonis and Common blue butterflies and a Small heath on the South Downs today

 Just as the Burnt orchids are going to seed...
 ...Fragrant orchids, below are opening.


 Common blue and Adonis blues (the latter pictured above and below) were flying on a pleasant but very windy day.


We saw a few Small heaths as well.

Lovely blog Peter. I live in Kent and missed the burnt orchids last year, travelling to Mount Caburn on 17th June. Seems I may have been too late...
