"The Pride of Sussex" blooming today on Mount Caburn on the South Downs of Sussex along with hundreds of Pyramidal orchids and insects.
The "Pride of Sussex", the Round-headed Rampion, the county flower of Sussex was in bloom today on Mount Caburn above Lewes together with Pyramidal Orchids above and below.
Pyramidal Orchids are at their best now whereas the Yellow Rattle and Common-spotted orchid in the below pictures are going to seed.
As a finale, above is an unusual pale form of the Pyramidal orchid.
