Pulborough Brooks circular walk with Haywards Heath U3A walks group sees five species of odonata and much more

 On Saturday 14 August 2021, the HH-U3A walks group saw an abundance of wildlife, some of which follows;

Song thrush
Two Song thrushes were eating yew berries in a distant tree.  Click to expand the pictures.

Red Admiral on purple loosestrife.

An old American war plane flew overhead.

By the sewage farm outflow were scores of Banded Demoiselles and a single Beautiful Demoiselle was seen.

Another Common Darter
A fifth species of Odonata -- dragonflies in tandem flew past and were not identified.
A flock of goldfinches and a reed warbler gave a delightful sound track to the walk.
