Three robins fight over the invertebrates exposed from my digging. The tamest is the one that carries off food for chicks. Last week it took wireworms, https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=914 which is a help to me; centipedes, https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?PID=887 not so good for me; Leatherjackets, https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=651 very good; and small worms only.
Now it is taking quite big worms so perhaps the chicks have grown large enough to swallow them.
At least this nest has escaped the pair of jays which were around last week.
