High Street, 30 April 2008, 14 miles, 3,075 feet of ascent.

This magnificent walk was lead by HF leader Paul, who lead us from Hartsop up to High Street , Kidsey Pike, High Raise, Raven Howe, Red Crag, Wether Hill, Loadpot Hill and Arthur's Pike before descending to Pooley Bridge.

Paul's leading was impeccable -- setting a perfect pace to get us to the pub for Sussexrambler to rehydrate with a couple of quick pints. Nice one Paul. Many thanks. Job well done!

Walking up Pasture Bottom.
I volunteered to be back-marker for this walk,
which made it easy to drop back to take pictures.

Cloud like this is perfect to avoid sunstroke. And the rain kept the dust down nicely!

A chilly climb up to Thornthwaite Beacon
