Widewater Nature Reserve, Shoreham Beach: Teal, Little Grebe, Black-headed Gulls, Little Egret, Mallard, Swan, Redshank
There was a good mix of birds today at Widewater: a Herring Gull above for example.
And a Redshank and Little Egret.
Black-headed Gulls in transition from winter to summer plumage.
There was a Little Grebe above!
A Little Grebe above, followed by a female Teal.
Teal are such an attractive little duck. It is a pity that they can be hunted in autumn and winter.

Bullfinch today
I hope that it sticks to ornamental cherry buds and leaves my fruit trees and bushes alone. Anyway what a lovely bird to see in a domestic garden.
