My favourite moth

Brown Silver-line moth, Petrophora chlorosata is my favourite moth.  Why?  Because its caterpillars eat only bracken: here today on Red House Common Chailey.

Fox cub, Cuckfield, West Sussex.

I have not seen the vixen for a while and no fox poo on the lawn.
She clearly has at least one cub.
Here it is.

Orange-tip Butterfly on Lady's-smock flower, Cuckfield, West Sussex, 16 April 2020.

This butterfly, at first sight resembles a Small White.

The green under-wing confirms it as a female Orange-tip.
