Cockchafer, Melolontha melolontha, today in Cuckfield, West Sussex

 This Cockchafer, Melolontha melolontha was flying in my garden today.
 It kindly crawled onto my hand so I could get some pictures.
What a handsome creature.
Not so polite though; it crapped on my hand!

    It amazes me that they can fly.
