White and Red Campion near Slindon today.

The paths north of Slindon provide great views to the Isle of Wight and are fringed with some great flowers.  White Campion,  Silene latifolia, is lovely.  Yet the above pink-coloured, Red Campion, Siline dioicia was more spectacular.

About Me

My Photo
Cuckfield, West Sussex, United Kingdom
In my former working life, I was a biologist who entered commerce in sales and went on to marketing in Milan and to manage sales and manufacturing companies in Holland, Belgium, West Germany, the UK and Ireland, selling Hi-tech diagnostic equipment primarily to hospitals. My five children are from two marriages -- my first wife and son were killed on a bicycle in 1978. Now I share my life and ramble on with Gloria. My interests include Natural History and History. I have a number of illustrated talks on such topics which I enjoy giving.
